This class is a great first step in building your puppy’s confidence, manners, and social skills—while deepening the bond between you and your pup.
Together, you’ll cover foundational topics like socialization, crate and potty training, bite inhibition, nipping, name recognition, gentle handling, grooming, and “leave it,” along with early obedience cues like sit and come. We’ll even throw in a few fun tricks like rollover! It’s an engaging, educational, and upbeat experience designed to set your puppy up for success. After registration, you’ll receive a detailed list of what to bring so your pup is fully prepared for this exciting start.
BASIC SKILLS GROUP CLASS

Basic Skills is the ideal follow-up for Puppy Class grads or a great starting point for dogs over 5 months old who are ready to begin their training journey. It’s also a helpful refresher for pups who need to brush up on their manners. In this class, you and your dog will practice key skills—with a fun trick or two added in for good measure!
In our Basic Skills Group classes, your dog will build essential behaviors such as sit, down, stay, leave it, coming when called, polite greetings, leash manners, and impulse control. To keep the experience positive and safe for everyone, participating dogs should be friendly or neutral around both people and other pups.
